The National Dairy Institute (NDI) provides practical, fundamentals-based development for dairy manufacturing employees who want a stronger understanding of how milk and dairy processes actually work. Our programs focus on the core principles of milk composition, processing, food safety, and dairy unit operations, helping operators perform their current roles with greater confidence, consistency, and awareness of downstream impacts across the plant.
NDI brings deep, hands-on experience in dairy manufacturing and education, built by people who understand production environments, shift work, and real operational pressures. Training is delivered from a practical perspective, linking theory directly to day-to-day tasks on the floor. This approach helps employees build capability, identify development pathways, and progress toward nationally recognised qualifications at Certificate II, III and IV in Food Processing, including dairy-specific technical units.
All NDI training models can be fully contextualised to individual companies and sites. Content is tailored to reflect specific products, equipment, processes, and operating procedures, ensuring training is directly relevant to employees’ roles and business needs.
